Getting to Know Lula
What do you do?
I am a Regional Director of Operations, Realtor, motivational speaker, Board-Certified Professional Coach, and the Founder and CEO of Confidently Learned to Live Inc.
What brought you to Savannah?
I relocated to Savannah after accepting a new job opportunity. My career move brought me to the city, where I embraced the opportunity to grow professionally, build meaningful connections, and become an active part of the Savannah community.
Your past does not determine your future.
In a few words, how would you describe yourself?
I am a faith-driven, resilient, and purpose-filled leader, Realtor, motivational speaker, and domestic violence advocate. With over 35 years of leadership experience, I am passionate about developing others, empowering survivors, and inspiring people to recognize their worth and walk confidently in their purpose. I believe in turning pain into purpose, leading with integrity, and making a lasting impact through faith, service, and leadership.
What is something you’re especially proud of?
I am proud of maintaining a healthy mindset and living a purposeful, balanced life that allows me to grow personally, strengthen my family, and make a positive contribution to the lives of those I love.
What advice would you give another woman who is where you once were?
I would tell her, never forget your worth and never allow your circumstances to define you. You are stronger than you realize, and you deserve to live a life filled with love, peace, and respect. Put God first, believe in yourself, and don’t be afraid to ask for help.
Healing takes time, but you can overcome what you’ve been through. Your past does not determine your future. Turn your pain into purpose, reclaim your confidence, and remember that you are worthy of a life where you can thrive, not just survive.
What is something you have had to overcome to get where you are today?
One of the biggest challenges I had to overcome was domestic violence, depression, and low self-esteem. I had to learn to stop allowing my past experiences to define my worth and begin believing in the woman God created me to be.
Through prayer, faith, perseverance, and personal growth, I learned to turn my pain into purpose. My journey taught me that healing begins when you recognize your value and make the decision to move forward. Today, I use my experiences to empower others, lead with confidence, and remind women that no matter what they have endured, they can overcome, rebuild, and live a life filled with purpose.
Turn your pain into purpose, reclaim your confidence, and remember that you are worthy of a life where you can thrive, not just survive.
